No. There is just a gentle warming sensation during the treatment.
Acute conditions require 6 sessions (sprains, strains) at a rate of 2-3 times per week. Chronic conditions require 12 sessions for best outcomes at a rate of 2-3 times per week.
When therapy is applied over normal tissue, there is no sensation at all. When going over the areas of fascial contraction, scar tissue, trigger points, and old injuries, there is a feeling of pressure and then the familiar ache that you have been feeling. There is constant communication between the doctor and patient to apply the therapy at an intensity that is tolerable (5/10 scale) to the patient.
Acoustic Wave Compression Therapy is used to treat chronic muscular pain related to overuse or prior injury, scar tissue, tendonitis, bursitis, etc. It can be used for most any muscular pain on the body.
6 treatments are applied. You may have good pain relief in just a few treatments, but for long-lasting results, 6 treatments are recommended.
Spinal decompression is for treating radicular pain syndromes of the neck and lower back (pinched nerve, sciatica, disc herniation, etc.)
We do not take X-rays at our clinic. If it is determined based on your history and examination that imaging would be appropriate, you will be referred to local imaging centers.

Yes, this is the most commonly used chiropractic treatment. It involves the manipulation and adjustment of the spinal column. This technique is applied quickly and usually results in a "popping" sound as the spine and joints are reduced of motion fixations. It consists solely of hands-on adjustments; no tools or devices are used to perform the adjustment.
Yes, the Cox Technique is a non-surgical, doctor-controlled, hands-on spinal manipulation performed with the patient lying on a special table called the Cox table. Flexion-distraction and decompression help relieve spinal pain and return patients to their desired quality of life. This is a gentle form of manipulation with no "popping" sounds. It is appropriate for all ages but is more generally used for complex spinal conditions affecting the intervertebral disc of the spine (disc herniation, degenerative disc).
Yes, we do. The Activator Technique is an instrument method of spinal manipulation. A hand-held device controlled by the Doctor is used to gently treat the spine.
